后耀村位于高山镇辖区内，村名寓有光宗耀祖的期望，1971年定名。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

1971年，由洋门大队析出后设立后耀大队。村名取「光宗耀主」之意，希望后人能过上光耀门楣的生活。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1984年，后耀改称村，属高山镇。1952年，由岑下大队分出洋门大队，当时的名称为厚峰。[1][2]

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，省爱卫办将本村列为「福建省卫生村」。[1]
