后卓村在港头镇内，村东的福兴寺旧址是瑶山自治会武装斗争旧址所在地。村名寓意后代卓越超群。[1]

村名取意于后代卓越超群。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

瑶山自治会武装斗争旧址位于后卓村东面的福兴寺。土地革命时期，福兴寺成为福清县龙田、高山一带中共地下党组织的活动据点之一。1933年前后，当地农民接连遭遇灾年，生计艰难，该旧址的历史即与此相关。[1]

荣誉[edit]

福建省爱卫办于2021年11月授予后卓村「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

此处旧属孝义乡化南里，明代为北二隅化南里所辖。1910年划归高山镇，1943年设后卓保。1950年编为第七区后卓乡，1952年改属第十三区。1958年设立大队，隶龙田公社；1961年转港头公社。1984年改设村民委员会（属港头乡），1985年后卓村委会成立，共十二个组，1992年乡改镇。[1]
