沁塘村在龙高半岛中部，西北边与龙田镇相接，东南边靠三山镇；北面临福清湾，西南面则是兴化湾。村名取自村旁的沁塘湖。[1][2]

村旁有一片湖，名为沁塘湖，村名由湖名而来。村委会设在同名的自然村内。[1]

概况[edit]

全村辖四个自然村，即沁塘、塘西、安魏和瑶山。博雅地名网所载为837户、3341人，未注年份。村中有明清时期遗留的一条老街，以及经过翻修扩建的寺庙和宗祠。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2021年1月，沁塘村被评定为「福州市乡村振兴中高级版试点村」；2022年12月，被确定为「2022年度福州市中级版“绿盈乡村”」；2024年2月，被确定为「第二批福建省乡村振兴示范村镇」创建对象。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

沁塘在宋代隶属崇德乡化北里上都（境名前塘），明代改属东隅化北里上都。1910年为龙田镇所辖；1943年分成十二甲。1950年编入第七区沁塘乡，1952年改属第十三区；1958年设大队，隶龙田公社。1961年划归港头公社，1984年才改称村民委员会，仍隶港头乡，1992年随乡改镇。[1]
