地名由来[edit]
港头镇西部有一片丘陵坡地，称瑶山顶。村子位于山下，故名草柄。[1]
概况[edit]
村域面积约1253亩，其中耕地583亩。博雅地名网所载为342户、1358人，未注年份。村以设施农业为主，种植西红柿、尖椒、西瓜等蔬菜，不少村民在外经商或务工。[2]
荣誉[edit]
福建省的「2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单于2021年2月公布，草柄村位列其中。2012年，村获「福清市五星级党支部」称号。[1][2]
历史沿革[edit]
宋代，此地为崇德乡化北里上都的龙湖境，明代转入东隅化北里上都。1910年划入龙田镇，1943年隶化北乡。1950年编入第三区；1958年归龙田公社，1961年改隶港头公社。1984年成为村民委员会，隶港头乡；1985年4月村委会正式成立；1992年随乡改镇。[1]
