前林村位于龙高半岛中部，在港头镇区东南，村中有渔平高速公路的互通口，省道大真线穿村而过。村地势平坦，靠近沿海。[1][2]

村下有十四个村民小组，博雅地名网所载为419户、1529人，未注年份。村内有党员33名，村两委成员6人。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

宋时这里是崇德乡化北里上都的西城境所在，明代并入东隅化北里上都。1910年归龙田镇管辖，1943年村内分为三甲。1950年属第七区，1952年改第十三区，1958年隶龙田公社，1961年转港头公社。1984年村民委员会设立，隶港头乡；1992年随乡改镇。[1]
