义庄村在港头镇区东南，渔平高速港头出入口临村而过，村内设有三峡移民小区。村名原为陈厝，因福清话的译音不雅而改称义庄。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

村子原由陈姓一支从海口赤屿迁居而来，故称陈厝。之后因当地话译音不好，改名为义庄。[1]

概况[edit]

村下辖五个自然村和一个三峡移民小区，共十六个村民小组。博雅地名网所载户数为580户、人口2465人，未注年份。村耕地1192亩（博雅地名网所载，未注年份）。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代时，此地归崇德乡化北里上都，村中分有安仁、安和两境；明代改属东隅化北里上都。1910年划入龙田镇，1943年设保。1950年编入第七区港头乡，1952年调到第十三区，1958年又归龙田公社，1961年改属港头公社。1984年村民委员会成立，1992年乡改镇。[1]
