前华村位于江镜镇南端，南面濒海，是亦农亦渔的革命老区基点村，下辖前华、东曾两个自然村。[1][3]村址临近东港北侧的江边，旧称华江，「文革」期间改名前华。[2]

沿革[edit]

元朝战乱时，一支族人自南京「铁井栏」迁往港尾（锦美）华山暂居，之后再迁到此地，属孝义乡临江里，内有重豪境。1943年设前华保，编为7甲，归江德乡；1950年改属第3区前华乡；1957年设前华大队，隶龙田公社；1960年改属江镜公社。1984年改设前华村委会，属江镜乡；1990年随乡改镇。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年2月，前华村列入「福建省2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单。[1]同年11月，前华村被福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
