北翁村位于江镜镇北部，与龙田镇相邻，属丘陵地带，村名因翁姓聚居而来。[1][2]全村有487户、1897人，设一个党支部，有党员37人。[3]

沿革[edit]

宋代隶崇德乡，境内有仙佛境；明代归西隅井得里。1943年设北翁保，编为5甲，属江德乡；1952年改隶第12区南谢乡；1959年设北翁大队，隶龙田公社；1961年转入江镜公社；1984年划归江镜乡，1990年改属江镜镇。[1]

发展[edit]

村中的生产面积有1200多亩，果园占其中500多亩。2009年，北翁村获确定为社会主义新农村建设的试点单位。村庄先后获「福州市卫生村」「文明村」「平安村」等称号。[3]2022年12月，北翁村被确定为「2022年度福州市中级版绿盈乡村」。[3]
