后地村是江镜镇辖下的一个行政村，位于镇政府以西约一公里处，距福清市区26公里。[1][2]村庄为1961年设立的行政村，辖区面积1.2平方公里，有村民1265人、368户。[1]

地名与沿革[edit]

早先村舍被海水冲毁，村民在原址后侧另建新村，故名后地。[1]

宋代此处为崇德乡井得里的正佛境，明代归西隅井得里。1943年划入江德乡，列为芦张保2甲；1950年归江镜乡；1958年设后地大队，隶龙田公社。1984年9月改为村委会，1990年随乡改镇。[1]

人口与侨乡[edit]

村中旅居海外的华侨、华人和港澳台同胞有300多人，约占总人口的三分之一，主要分布在印尼与新加坡。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，后地村被福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]此外，村庄还曾获生态村、文明村镇与平安村等称号。[2]
