山头村位于龙田镇西部，由1个自然村组成，东西两面靠山，北面临大湖洋。[1]

村名简写为山头；早先海潮可以涨到村边，故得此名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

此地旧属崇德乡福唐里，境名崇山，元代沿用；明代归北一隅，1910年划入龙田镇。1943年编为6甲；1950年归第三区；1952年隶第十二区，1955年隶江境区。[1]

1958年隶龙田镇；1984年设村委会。[1]

人口[edit]

535户居民、共1989人；9个村民小组；党员56人（正式51名，预备5名）。[1]

文化[edit]

2022年12月，村子被确定为「2022年度福州市中级版绿盈乡村」。[1]
