南岭村是南岭镇的一个行政村，村名由村中两个自然村各取一字而成。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村庄原名南厝村。因村中有南岭与岭口两个自然村，后来两村各取一字，合成了现在的村名。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村所在之地，宋代属感德乡方成里，境内设有岭口境。明代改属西隅方成里。清末归海口镇，民国时编入元龙乡七社保，分为一甲。新中国成立后，村庄先后隶属第二区、第十一区与海口区，1958年定名为南厝大队。1961年转属城头公社，1979年因与同名大队重复，改称南岭大队。1981年并入南岭公社，1984年设为村委会，归南岭乡，1999年随乡改镇。[1]

文化[edit]

2019年12月，南岭村入选「第一批国家森林乡村」名单；2021年11月，福建省爱卫办命名该村为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
