地名由来[edit]
村落所在的群山之间，常年被灰雾笼罩，村名「吉岚」即由此得来。[2]
历史沿革[edit]
宋代此地属感德乡新安里，设有吉岚境。明代改属西隅新安里，元代沿袭旧制。清末归海口镇，民国时期改属永宾乡岩兜保。新中国成立后划入第二区首溪乡，1958年改设为吉岚大队，1961年转属城头公社，1981年归南岭公社。1985年大队改设村委会，由1至8组组成，1999年随乡改镇。[1][2]
文化[edit]
村中的吴氏支祠是解放战争时期福清东区游击队的活动据点，详见「南岭镇」条目。[2]
荣誉方面，2020年12月，该村入选「2020年福建省森林村庄」名单；2021年秋，吉岚村经省爱卫办认定，获得「2021年福建省卫生村」称号；2022年10月，它被认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」；2025年3月，它被认定为「福建省第一批省级乡村振兴示范村」。[1][2]
