首溪村是城头镇下辖的行政村，村舍南边有一条小溪，村名由此而来。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代属感德乡新安里，明代为西隅新安里4图，1910年归海口镇。1943年分出三甲，以前溪为驻地，归五龙乡。1950年属第二区首溪乡，1952年划入第十一区，1956年改归五龙乡；1958年设大队，隶海口公社；1961年归城头公社；1984年设村委会；1990年改镇。[1][3]
