星桥村是城头镇下辖的行政村，村旁有一座大桥，村名以桥为名。原名新桥，后因谐音改为今名。[1][2]

据博雅地名网所记，元朝末年陈姓祖先在此开发村落。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

明代隶属南上隅永宾里，1910年归海口镇。1943年分设南星、北星两保，归永宾乡；1950年属第二区星桥乡。1958年成为星桥大队，隶属海口公社；1961年划归城头公社，1984年设村委会，1990年随城头改镇。[1][3]
