工农村位于福清市海口镇。1959年全国“工农联盟”的时代背景下，把三个自然村合并，取名工农，寓意工农团结一致。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

工农村宋代属感德乡浔洋里，元代沿用，明代归南下隅浔洋里。1910年（宣统二年）属第三区石溪乡，乡公所设石溪。1952年改属第二区石溪乡，1958年归海口公社石溪大队。1959年分出洞庭、者店、树岭三个自然村，另组工农大队，仍属海口公社。1984年改为村委会，隶海口镇至今。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，本村获评「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
