南厝村位于福清市海口镇。村名是为纪念祖先南下迁居而取的：先是李氏在此居住，后来陈氏祖先从河南南下入闽，辗转迁来此地。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
南厝村宋代属感德乡仁寿里，有龙南境，明代归南上隅仁寿里。1910年（宣统二年）划入海口镇。1943年属杞店乡，设南厝保，编十一甲。1950年后数次调整隶属，1955年改属海口区，1959年分设南厝大队，1984年改为村委会，仍属海口镇。[1]
荣誉[edit]
省农业农村厅于2022年10月确认本村为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]
