晨光村位于福清市海口镇。旧时村子临海，四周是滩涂，村民围海造田后定居下来，并出海打鱼为生。村名取自早晨出海很早便能望见日出。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

晨光村在宋代属感德乡仁寿里，元代沿用，明代属南上隅仁寿里。1910年（宣统二年）村子划入海口镇。1943年设山兜、赤屿两个保，归海口镇北店乡管辖。1950年本村属第二区的岑兜乡，1952年先归过兜乡，同年九月又并回岑兜乡。1955年划入第十区东峤乡，1958年组建大队，归海口公社，1984年改为村委会，村委会设在赤屿自然村。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，本村获评「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
