斗垣村位于福清市海口镇东南，面朝福清湾。村名的来历，一说是村北旧有一座围海堤的水闸，俗称“斗门”，与西侧原镇东卫城的城垣合取一字；百度百科另有说法，认为村前水道收窄如漏斗，海堤低矮似墙，故名。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

斗垣村宋代属感德乡新安里，元代仍旧，明代属西隅新安里。进入清末，宣统二年（1910年）这里划为海口镇的一部分。1943年斗垣保驻于本村，全保分为八甲，也属海口镇。1950年村属第二区城里乡，1956年改属海口区的牛宅乡，1958年并入海口公社的城里大队，1961年才单独设斗垣大队，1984年改为村委会。[1]

文化旅游[edit]

「福清市斗垣村革命烈士纪念室」设在村中程序故居内。1932年福州中心市委派人到福清，在本村陈家落脚开展工作，村中随后成立农会，发动农民开展革命活动。这段历史使斗垣村成为福清地下党的秘密活动点。[2][3]

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，本村获评「2021年福建省卫生村」。村中还在2020年获得省级乡村治理示范村称号；2024年2月，本村被列为「第二批福建省乡村振兴示范村镇」创建对象。[1][3]
