上亭村位于福清市区北部山区，属阳下街道，东临天霞山。村舍设在西亭片村之上，村名由此而来。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
宋代属永福乡遵义里，明代为北二隅遵义里一图，清末划入遵义乡。民国时属融城镇北亭乡的上西亭保；1958年归城关人民公社西亭大队，1961年析为上亭大队；1984年改设村委会，隶阳下乡，2005年街道设立时随之变更。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
明代村民集资在村东龙王坑边建成龙王庙，庙边的龙王坑成为周边村落夏日避暑的场所。解放战争时期，龙王庙和潘厝后一带是革命联络站，村庄因此被评为革命基点老区村。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2024年1月，上亭村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。[1]
