新局村是阳下街道下辖的行政村，位于街道中部，辖七个自然村。村名来自早年林氏迁来此处拓荒，寓意开创新局面。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代此地属永福乡永福里，元代沿袭，清宣统二年（1910年）归永福乡。1943年隶融城镇后连乡新局保，1950年隶第1区刘下乡。1957年归城关人民公社新局大队，1961年改称阳下公社新局大队。1984年9月大队改为村委会，隶阳下乡；2005年12月随镇改设街道。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

村中有新局村地下交通站纪念亭，为纪念郑笑妹夫妇等革命先辈而建。1934年至1949年间，郑笑妹夫妇在福清北区新人店建立秘密交通站，多次传递情报。[1]

荣誉[edit]

新局村于2021年11月获「2021年福建省卫生村」称号；2022年10月，「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」的认定由福建省农业农村厅作出，新局村在列；同年12月，村庄列入福州市2022年度中级版「绿盈乡村」名单。[1]
