新华村位于福厦路（国道324线）旁，融侨经济技术开发区南部。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1970年，原有的组织拆分后另组新的基层组织，取“新”字寓意新时代、新历史、新起点，村名由此而来。[1]

1956年为土埔高级社，1958年设联光大队。1970年分出新华大队，只辖后华一个自然村，内分4个生产小组；1981年改分为8个村民小组，1984年设新华村委会。[1]
