朝阳村取向着太阳、奋发向上的寓意而得名朝阳。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代此地属万安乡灵得里，明代归东隅灵得里管辖；清宣统二年（1910年）改隶渔溪镇。[2]

1958年归城关公社；1959年设岐洋大队，1966年更名为朝阳大队，改属音西公社。1984年由大队改为村委会，归音西乡管辖；1990年乡改为镇，2005年12月30日镇改为街道，村随之属龙江街道。[2]

朝阳村于2021年11月获福建省爱卫办评定，列为「2021年福建省卫生村」；2022年10月，村庄被认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」；2024年6月，「福建省第四批高级版绿盈乡村」名单公布，村庄上榜。[1]
