玉峰村是龙山街道下辖的行政村，属城乡结合区。村名是1930年代改定的，此前村子曾称下张里、刹厝村。[1][2]

名称由来与人口变迁[edit]

宋元之间，张氏在此居住，后分为上张、下张。明末遭倭寇侵扰，村中人口几近被灭，仅有兄弟二人因在外祖家做客而幸免，后回村重建家业。[1]

清道光十三年后，姚氏、俞氏、陈氏陆续迁入，分别来自莆田、海口里美与福清高巷头。1930年代，有人认为旧名不吉，将村名改为玉峰。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1943年，村中设五甲，属石井乡龙山保；1910年仍归长东乡。1950年改属溪前一区的石井乡，后又在1952年归茶亭区，1958年改属城关公社玉峰大队。[1]

1961年改属音西公社，1966年回归城关公社，1978年再属音西公社；1984年，大队改称玉峰村委会。2005年12月起属龙山街道。[1][2]

荣誉[edit]

玉峰村于2022年12月获福建省爱国卫生运动委员会认定，列为「2022年福建省卫生村」。[1]
