西文社区隶属福清市玉屏街道，位于福清城区的西面，属主城区。社区名称与此地古时的文山境有关。[1]
名称来源[edit]
福清城区西面古时有文山境，此地因而得名西文。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
土改期间已定名西文街。文革时改称东风大队，文革后改为西大居委会。2000年5月，西大居委会析出后，老同志提出恢复旧名，遂改为融城镇西文居委会。2003年6月改称融城镇西文社区，2005年12月随融城街道更名为玉屏街道。[1]
