柳池社区位于玉屏街道北部，辖区面积0.2平方千米。社区名取自辖区旧时的一口池塘与池边的柳树。[1][2]

名称来源[edit]

早年此处有一口池塘，塘边植满柳树，老居民把这里叫作「柳池头」。新设社区便借用「柳池」二字作名。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

1997年，北大民委会辖区中福塘境巷子以西的部分析出，单独设立柳池社区。2003年改为社区居委会。[1][2]

荣誉[edit]

2021年，社区获福建省卫生社区称号，同年11月由福建省爱卫办命名。[1][2]
