务里村在原北厝镇的西北一带，村子南侧临近进岛路与305国道，竹屿港位于本村辖区之内，现属金井镇。[1]

村内编有12个村民小组；据博雅地名网，总人口为1710人，共462户住户。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

早年（民国末）隶属复兴乡；1949年划入二区，归里美乡；1958年转属湖西大队。[1]

1961年分队后，它成为里美大队的一部分；1984年起归里美村委会，1990年分出，另立务里村委会。[1]

自2021年起，此地改由金井镇管理，原先归北厝镇。[1]
