红星乡是福建省福州市永泰县下辖的乡，位于县境西北部，距县城约23公里。乡境与闽清县接壤，东面连白云乡，西面靠盘谷乡，南面临清凉镇。全乡辖8个行政村，面积51平方千米，山地多，林木覆盖率高。现名是文革期间改定的，此前曾称雁门、坑门。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代此地属中和乡新丰里，元代编为十六、十七都，明清时期仍隶属中和乡新丰里。民国初年划入北区，1936年改属五区，1938年设立雁凤乡。中华人民共和国成立后，先后归六区与白云区管辖。[2]

1958年此地设为白云人民公社官村管理区，1961年自白云人民公社分出，另立一处人民公社，1984年改设红星乡。[2]

乡名的来历[edit]

乡名此前写作雁门、坑门，取坑尾五角湾一带形似大雁的山势为名。明万历年间，这里设有官府粮仓，因而又称官村。文革期间，因“官”字被认为带有封建色彩，改用一个革命意味的词，更名为红星，沿用至今。[2]

地理环境[edit]

红星乡处于永泰县的西北一带，离县城二十三公里，北边接壤闽清县。境内有两条省道经过，分别是202省道与211省道。全乡总面积51平方千米，森林覆盖率为70.82%，耕地12736.8亩，林地50377亩。[1]

人口[edit]

政府网站介绍，乡里常住人口为2663人，户籍人口则是8443人。全乡设有14个党支部，党员324人。[1]

经济与产业[edit]

政府网站称，红星乡是传统的建筑之乡，近年借助在外乡贤返乡兴业，引进了一批建设工程企业。[1]

各村依托自身地形发展特色产业：尧祥村以食用菌为特色，雁门村发展“两茶”，红星村有中高山名优水果采摘园，礼柄村则在林下开展种植与苗木组培。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2011年4月，环境保护部授予红星乡「2011年度国家级生态乡镇」称号。[2]

2024年1月，红星乡被命名为「2023年福建省卫生乡镇」。[2]

政府网站称，红星乡曾获评福建省生态乡镇，乡村建设与“五个美丽”建设经验曾被福建省选为典型。[1]
