历史沿革[edit]
村名「福坪」取其幸福平安之意。[1]
1958年此地归大洋公社盘谷管理区，设福坪生产大队；1981年大洋公社改制为盘谷人民公社后，该队沿用原名；1984年改组为福坪村委会，隶属盘谷乡。[1]
地理环境[edit]
村地处盘谷乡中部，属亚热带山区气候。村中的先进水库建于1956年，属小（一）型水库，供全乡农业生产取水。[2]
经济[edit]
村内以农业为主，属单季稻区，有种植高山反季节蔬菜的传统，种植品类以西红柿和槟榔芋为多，另有黄瓜、大白菜、四季豆。[2]
在乡政府指导下，村里注册了「方壶」商标，并为其中的西红柿与大白菜申请绿色食品标志，这两个品类已获审批。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2023年12月，福坪村获认定为福州市级的「一村一品」专业村，以蔬菜育苗为主导产业；2025年11月，又入选福建省的「一村一品」专业村名单，产业仍是蔬菜育苗。[1]
文化[edit]
村内的新安庄为光绪年间所建的土木结构庄寨，占地1611平方米，天井式四合院格局，寨墙坚固，设有瞭望窗和射击孔，并有一座三层铳楼。2016年，新安庄进入永泰县第九批县级文物保护单位之列。[1][3]
