盘谷乡位于福建省福州市永泰县西北部，离县城约26公里。乡境东面接红星乡，西南连大洋镇，北边紧邻闽清县的塔庄镇。全乡下辖6个行政村、27个自然村。[1][2]

乡政府网站称盘谷乡是张圣君文化的重要发祥地，乡内的方壶岩被尊为唯一一座「张圣君母殿」。方壶岩摩崖石刻于2009年被公布为福建省级文物保护单位。[1][7][8]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代此地隶属中和乡新丰里，元代分属十九都与二十一都，明清时仍归中和乡新丰里管辖。[2][5]

民国时期此地属西区，1936年划入第五区，其后在第五区与第六区之间几度调整。1958年并入大洋人民公社的盘古管理区，1961年改属大洋人民公社；1981年大洋人民公社改为盘谷人民公社，1984年改设盘谷乡。[2][5]

地理环境[edit]

地名「盘谷」，据博雅地名网，由四面山峰环绕、中间盆地开阔平坦如盘而来。[2]

乡政府一带海拔为780米，多年平均气温为15.6℃。[1] 乡域土地总面积，乡政府网站与博雅地名网均记为25平方千米，百度百科记为30.27平方千米。[1][3][5]

方壶岩一带的山峰海拔1126米，博雅地名网称其为永泰西山片的最高峰。[2][10]

人口[edit]

乡政府网站载全乡户籍总人口10504人，未注统计年份；百度百科另记2019年末的户籍人数为10641人。[1][5]

经济[edit]

农业是乡内的主要产业。当前重点放在反季节蔬菜育苗，以及茭白、槟榔芋、西红柿等作物的种植上，高山蔬菜种植已成规模。[1]

乡政府网站称，乡内已注册「方壶牌」高山绿色无公害产品。[1]

文化[edit]

张圣君信俗在乡内传承。2017年1月11日，省政府将该信俗纳入第五批省级非物质文化遗产名录；申报地区包括永泰县方壶岩，保护单位中列有永泰方壶岩张圣君母殿。[9]

荣誉方面，乡政府网站所载2021年，方壶岩获「福建省基层对台交流示范点」称号。[1] 博雅地名网另载，2011年4月国家环保部门将「2011年度国家级生态乡镇」的称号授予盘谷乡；盘谷乡于2024年1月获评「2023年福建省卫生乡镇」。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

方壶岩位于水尾村，山势岩形如茗壶，寺院因之得名。正座由圣君殿、观音殿、文昌阁、禅房等组成，石木结构，多为民间做法。[4]

方壶岩摩崖石刻位于水尾村，共十二方，年代自宋延续至清，署名的题刻者有王用文、曹学佺、王大壮、张大韶、沈野等，是研究张圣君信仰起源的实物资料。[7][8] 公布为第七批福建省级文物保护单位的日期是2009年11月16日。[8]

明正统元年（1506年）建成的张氏宗祠位于方壶山脚，清代曾修葺，2003至2005年间又经修缮，2005年被收入《八闽名祠》。[4]

第三次全国文物普查时，盘谷乡登记不可移动文物13处，其中包括方壶岩、张氏宗祠、文昌阁、水尾陂、方氏宗祠等。[6]
