长中村是霞拔乡海拔最高、位置最偏远的行政村，距乡政府约4.8公里。村境东、西、北三面与闽清县及长庆镇接壤，南面与上和村、锦安村相邻。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村名旧作永福县三十都和平乡长治村，解放后改称长中村。[1]

姓氏与迁入[edit]

村民多为邹姓。邹氏始祖原居江西，明永乐二年（1404年）奉命迁至永福县三十都长治村定居，此后繁衍了二十代。[1]

人物[edit]

明代有秀才邹窿友。清代有邹能友中了举人，邹大腾与邹大英为秀才，邹大祥则是武秀才。[1]

全村辖9个自然村，村道相连，可通汽车；霞拔至村子的公路已建成水泥路。农业以水稻为主，兼营李果、茶叶、柑、枇杷与蕉芋，林地多为杉、松、竹等天然林。[1]
