长畲村位于东洋乡西部，离乡政府约8千米，是全乡较为偏远的小行政村。全村辖3个自然村。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村形像一条长蛇，方言中「蛇」与「畲」读音相近，村名因此而来。[1]

旧属永福县三十都。新中国成立初期归周坑村管辖，后从周坑村分出设长畲大队，1984年改为长畲村。[1]

文化[edit]

村中保留清代古民居5座，清代庙宇3座，庙内有清代佛像。[1]
