珠峰村所在位置为县城西北，离县城96公里，离乡政府约20公里；村内仅1个自然村。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村子四面环山，山峰连绵如串珠，故名珠峰。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清代本村属和平乡应达里三十六都，民国间曾归南区，新中国成立初属二区。1958年4月，它被划给尤溪县中仙人民公社，成为其中的珠峰生产大队；1964年6月又回归永泰县，编入盖洋人民公社；1984年设珠峰村委会。[1]

文化[edit]

2015年10月，珠峰村入选「福建省第一批省级传统村落」；2019年6月列入「第五批中国传统村落」名录；国家林业和草原局在2019年12月公布的「第二批国家森林乡村」名单上，有珠峰村。[1]

村中有珠峰寨，清朝末年由谢天养始建，详见盖洋乡条目。[1][2]
