湖里村位于永泰县城西北部，属盖洋乡管辖，距乡政府约2.5公里。183县道从村子西侧经过。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村前有一片天然湖泊，居民点建在湖边，村名由此而来。这一带在清代隶属和平乡应达里三十六都，民国时曾归南区管辖。1958年，本村成为嵩口公社盖洋管理区下的湖里生产大队；1961年划入盖洋人民公社；到1984年才设立湖里村委会。[1]
