地理环境[edit]
乡境地处山区，大樟溪与后亭溪在洑口村口汇流。[5]
乡境面积有两说：百度百科记为133.04平方千米，博雅地名网记为约148平方千米，两者均未注统计年份。[4][3]
历史沿革[edit]
宋代此地属和平乡英达里，元代属三十六都，明清两代仍隶和平乡英达里。[3][4]
民国初年此地归南区；1936年改隶第三区，1938年又成为盖洑乡的辖地；1952年再属第三区，名称定为洑口乡。[3]
1958年，洑口一带并入嵩口人民公社，设为其中的洑口管理区；1961年从嵩口分出，单独建洑口人民公社；1984年，此处改设洑口乡人民政府。[3][4]
革命时期，博雅地名网称紫山、碧石、车濑洋、土洋等村为革命基地点。[3]

乡政府网站的概况页刊于2026年8月，载户籍总人口14712人（5012户），常住人口约3500人，该页未注统计年份。[1]
百度百科记2019年末户籍人口13902人。[4]
乡政府网站还载明，洑口中心村党委辖洑口、山寨、梧村、紫山、吉坑五村，总人口8087人；双溪中心村党委辖双溪、祥銮、梅村、后寨、后亭五村，总人口6561人。[1]
文化[edit]
虎尊拳据维基百科记为清乾隆年间由李元珠创编，百度百科称其为省级非物质文化遗产，博雅地名网则称洑口乡是其发源地。[6][5][2]
名胜古迹[edit]
金山堂在洑口村，系林氏的宗祠。现存建筑在乾隆四十二年（1777年）经过重修。2009年，它入选第七批省级文物保护单位，名单由福建省人民政府公布。[7][8][9]
建筑为穿斗式木结构，面阔七间，进深九柱，歇山顶。院落由大厅居中，两侧设厢房，另有天井，左右各有一座书院。[7][9]
祥福堂在山寨村，由黄贵郎于1848年（道光二十八年）开始修建，用时十二年。寨中另有一座独立的楼体，只在楼上有一扇门与主楼相通，便于退守。2016年，此堂被定为永泰县第九批县级文物保护单位。[10]
