历史沿革[edit]
此地原称「存边」，因村庄坐落在田垄边而得名。后来「存」与「庄」的方言读音相近，遂改称庄边。[1]
「文革」期间村名曾改为「新庄」，1981年恢复原名。1961年，此地是岭路人民公社的庄边生产大队；更早的清代，它归中和乡元铺里十二都。1984年才改设为岭路乡下的庄边村委会。[1]
地理环境[edit]
村域东面接岭路村，西面与赤锡乡交界，南面至叶洋村，北面邻凤落村，全村面积7平方千米。[1]
荣誉[edit]
庄边村获得「2022年福建省卫生村」称号，授予时间为2022年12月。[1]
2019年，庄边村被评为福建省「乡村旅游特色村」。[2]
