潭后村位于永泰县南部，属岭路乡，海拔约150米，距县城10公里。村子以畲族居住地转头山等自然村为辖，主要特产是生姜。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

地名的来历是此地位于温泉溪一处大溪潭的后面。[1]

宋代此地属中和乡；元代分属十一、十二都；明清时期又属中和乡。民国时期此地先后归县区与泉山乡，1936年划为一区，两年后的1938年改属泉山乡。[2]

1949年9月之后，它先后隶属一区、城关人民公社岭路管理区和岭路人民公社。1984年，此地改设为岭路乡潭后村委会。[1][2]

地理环境[edit]

村子西面是赤锡乡，北面挨着岭路村，东面连着藤山，南面与寨下村相接。辖地内的转头山是畲族居住地，民房依峡谷崖壁而建，耕地极少。[2]

经济[edit]

村里的主要特产是生姜。「2020年度福建省“一村一品”示范村」名单上有潭后村，所列产业为橄榄。[1][2]

荣誉[edit]

「绿盈乡村」建设中级版村庄的认定，福州市于2024年度作出，潭后村为其中一村。[1]

村中建有橄榄博物馆与民族同心馆两处场馆。[3]
