赤鲤村位于塘前乡西南，距县城约36公里，管辖12个自然村。[1][3]

地名由来[edit]

村名的取义，一是村前溪流状若鲤鱼，二是村内土壤呈赤红色。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清代归丰和乡永安里二都管辖。1958年列入城关公社大樟管理区，成为赤鲤生产大队；1961年划入葛岭公社，1978年隶属塘前人民公社，1984年设村民委员会，隶属塘前乡。[1][2]

经济[edit]

村民生计以农业为主，属单季稻中稻区，历来有种植反季节蔬菜的习惯。[2]
