棋杆村位于大洋镇东南方，离县城27公里，距镇政府3公里。村内主峰为高盖山的紫盖峰，山上的名山室是第六批全国重点文物保护单位。[1][2][3]

地名由来[edit]

清末，铁场自然村一位武举家门前竖起旗杆。“旗”与“棋”方言读音相近，村名遂作棋杆。[1]

自然村与高盖山[edit]

村辖八个自然村，设20个村民小组。村内主峰紫盖峰海拔1125米。[2]

相传西汉时徐登曾在高盖山中炼丹修道。山中的名山室始建于唐文德元年（888年），原称高盖名山院，民国十五年（1926年）重修。[2][3]

2006年5月25日，国务院公布名山室为第六批全国重点文物保护单位。[3]

荣誉[edit]

2025年3月，棋杆村被认定为「福建省第一批省级乡村振兴示范村」。[1]
