村委会驻地为溪墘厝自然村，房屋建在溪流两旁的山墘之上，村名由此而来。[1]
姓氏与居民[edit]
村民主要为汪、林、詹、王四姓，汪氏人口最多，多居中、西、北部。各姓宗族都建有家族祠堂，均有百年以上的历史。[2]
