旗东村隶属大洋镇，在永泰县西部，当地又称它“西区西山”。村址东边倚大旗山和石马寨，西边与宵洋村的文笔山相望，南接同安镇的丹洋村，北面连着珠洋村。村子占地4.17平方公里，分为两个自然村。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

村子原名长胜，“文革”期间改为旗东。村址靠着大岐山山脚，远看地形像一面向东飘扬的旗子，村名由此改定。[1]

历史人文[edit]

村民以李姓为主。始祖李常于明永乐二年（1404年）自江西南城迁入福建，至今已传二十四世。村中留有祖祠和安朝宫，另有可坑寨、六溜厝、淑云寨等古民居。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2024年1月，旗东村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。[1]
