地名与历史沿革[edit]

村子处在同安镇的尾部，境内山林茂密，村名由此而来。[1]

清代，村子属中和乡官贤里的二十三都。1961年编入同安人民公社，设为尾林生产大队；1984年改由同安乡管辖，设尾林村民委员会；1992年改为同安镇尾林村民委员会。[1]
