梅楼村位于长庆镇中东部，是镇区所在的四个行政村之一。村名的来历是先祖在一片梅树旁建起草楼。村中留有明代建筑镜口宫，正月间有演戏、游神与庙会。2021年11月，村庄被福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1][2]
历史沿革[edit]
古时此地隶属永福县三十二都，地名为保德里中团境贵洋坊。清代村址归和平乡保德里三十二都管辖。1958年，村子划入嵩口公社长庆管理区，成为其中的梅楼生产大队；1961年改隶长庆人民公社。1984年村里设长庆乡下的梅楼村委会，1992年撤乡设镇，村委会改属长庆镇。[1]
村中朱、王两姓都在明朝时定居于此。朱氏始祖自尤溪县迁入，王氏始祖则是从江西建昌入闽。[2]
2003年“9·20”特大洪灾之后，村民在上级支持下重建家园，多数人新建了规划的砖混结构房屋。[2]
地理环境[edit]
梅楼村东边紧挨东洋乡，西南与中洋村相接，北面是下埔村。离镇政府两公里，离县城67公里，村域面积7.5平方千米。[1][2]
经济[edit]
村内耕地约950亩，林地4000多亩，另有李果、青梅果园800多亩。村民以李果加工李干、打李饼为业。[2]
名胜古迹[edit]
镜口宫为明朝建筑，村中另有陈、林、李三位夫人的雕像，每到正月，村里有演戏、游神与庙会等活动。村中还有祖祠可供游览。[2]
