清凉镇隶属福州市永泰县，在县城以北，距城区4.5公里，镇政府设于清凉村。全镇辖12个行政村，特色产业有菌草、林业、果蔬、服装和毛竹等，境内有幸福庄园等景点。[1][4]

历史沿革[edit]

宋代这一带分属中和乡下的光德里与新丰里，元代编为十六、十八都，明清时仍属中和乡。民国时期划入北区，1936年改属第一区，1938年设清凉乡。1952年一度隶属第一区和城关区，1958年并入城关人民公社，称清凉管理区；1961年自城关公社析出，建清凉人民公社。1984年改称清凉乡，1992年撤乡建镇，定名清凉镇。[2]

镇名取自境内的古寺清凉寺，寺庙一带遂称清凉。该寺始建于五代。[1]

清凉镇在永泰县城北郊，南面与樟城镇相接，西为大洋镇，北为白云乡，东为葛岭镇，东南与城峰镇相连。镇域面积，永泰县人民政府网站所载为103.4平方千米，百度百科所载为105.02平方千米，两说并录。[1][3][4]

百度百科记载，截至2019年末，镇辖区户籍人口为12477人。县政府网站所载的数字则较新，户籍一项为1.2万人，常住一项为0.58万人。[1][4]

镇政府网站列出的特色产业有菌草、林业、果蔬、服装、毛竹、农特产品加工和文旅等。[1]

博雅地名网列出的镇内特产有福州茉莉花茶、永泰芙蓉李、永泰绿茶、永泰柿饼和永泰山茶油，民俗项目有永泰椽板龙、永泰蛋燕和永泰虎尊拳。[2]

镇获得的荣誉包括：2011年4月环境保护部授予「2011年度国家级生态乡镇」称号；爱卫部门于2020年12月将清凉镇认定为「福建省卫生乡镇」；2021年2月入选「福建省2018-2020年度省级文明村镇社区」名单；2021年12月获「2021年度福建省森林城镇」称号。[2]

幸福庄园位于镇境内，庄园内有数千亩自然森林，并有成片形态各异的古树群。[2]
