溪南村位于大樟溪南岸、梅岩山麓，距葛岭镇政府约4公里。村名取自背山面溪的地势。全村下辖五个自然村。[1][2]

历史人文[edit]

据博雅地名网，宋元丰二年（1079年）本村的黄选考中进士，授中奉大夫之衔。其后裔黄龟年于崇宁五年（1106年）中进士，南宋时任御史，多次弹劾秦桧。[2][3]

山上有古庙梅岩寺。[2]

缸院自然村曾是革命游击队活动的地方。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

清代为丰和乡保安里四都，民国时划入东区。1961年成为葛岭人民公社的溪南大队；1984年随公社改设乡，称溪南村委会；1992年随乡改镇，隶属葛岭镇。[1]
