石尾村位于永泰县梧桐镇，地处梧桐、富泉、同安三乡镇的交界处，海拔约360米，距县城约30公里，距镇政府约12公里。村域面积4平方千米，辖5个自然村、12个生产小组。村名因村中石头多而得名。[1][2][3]
历史沿革[edit]
村名的来历：先人迁居此地时缺少火种，便用狗尾系纸筒蘸油去山下亲戚家取火，一次狗尾被烧，此地遂称“烧尾”。后修筑石岭小路，住宅建在石岭顶，改称石尾。[1]
1958年划为梧桐公社下的生产大队，1961年改属梧桐人民公社，1984年划入梧桐乡，1989年归梧桐镇。[1]
2024年1月，村里被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。[1]
地理环境[edit]
村里房屋依山而建，层层叠叠，周围多种绿竹或大树。大樟溪从山下流过。[2]
经济[edit]
村民以农耕为主，茶叶与席草为两大产业。村内油茶园约200亩，茶油产品有销售。改革开放后，村里的青壮年多外出务工、经商或办企业。[2]
