历史沿革[edit]
村名因位于平原中部而得。1986年起设梧桐乡中埕村民委员会，1989年改由梧桐镇管辖。[1]
2024年1月，村里被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
村内有清代晚期建造的树德堂，还有民国时期的建筑，构成村中的历史遗存。2023年，树德堂被纳入永泰县历史建筑保护名录。[2]
经济[edit]
村里以李果加工为主，出产李干、青梅、橄榄等农产品。[2]
