白杜村位于永泰县西北部，地处大樟溪畔，北连同安镇，南邻三富村，距县城约46公里。村落面积24.5平方千米，辖4个自然村、10个村民小组。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村名的来历：旧时有杜氏迁居此地，在大樟溪渡口设有不收费的渡船，岸边立石碑刻“白渡”。方言中“白渡”与“白杜”读音相近，遂称白杜。[1]
1961年起改属梧桐人民公社，1984年划入梧桐乡，1989年归梧桐镇。[1]
2019年12月，村里被认定为「全国乡村治理示范村」，同月入选「第二批国家森林乡村」；2020年11月，入选「2020年福建省金牌旅游村」；2020年12月，被确定为「福建省第一批高级版绿盈乡村」；2021年11月，被命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
村内现存清代古民居8座以上，古民居的“三雕”装饰资源丰富。村中有文明堂、泰山宫、夫人宫等建筑。[2]
村民的重大节日有正月初八、元宵与三月初三。[2]
