历史沿革[edit]
1956年，经县政府批准，梧桐人民公社下设梧桐居民委员会；1984年它归梧桐乡管辖，1989年改由梧桐镇管辖。[1]
地名的来历与镇名相同：此地原有大片梧桐树，吴姓村民在垄尾建村，称“吴垄”，后因音近而改为梧桐。[1]
文化[edit]
大樟溪流经社区，区内有水晶宫、兴安会馆等古建筑，据载建于清代中叶。[2]
经济[edit]
社区内以线面、豆制品加工为主，形成手工业体系，有大酒家、旅社、批发店与个体饮食店等，产品销往上海等地。[2]
荣誉[edit]
福建省爱国卫生运动委员会于2022年12月授予梧桐社区「2022年福建省卫生社区」称号。[1]
