大喜村在嵩口镇东南侧，深藏于东湖尖的山脚腹地，离镇区约12公里，全村总面积21.12平方千米。[1]

村名的来历：相传古时一名逃难的妇人饿得发昏，得村民赠予一块番薯而欢喜，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1984年，大喜改设为嵩口镇大喜村民委员会。1961年它是嵩口人民公社的大喜生产大队，1958年归嵩口管理区。清代属中和乡感应里二十九都。[1]

地理环境[edit]

地势属峡谷，平均海拔约650米。村中有大喜水库，水域面积175亩，生态公益林13400亩。[1][2]

全村下辖4个自然村、6个村民小组，共158户628人。[1]

文化[edit]

大喜村2017年8月列入「第二批省级传统村落」名录，2017年9月入选住建部公布的「2017年改善农村人居环境示范村」，2019年12月入选「第一批国家森林乡村」名单。[1]

2020年11月入选「2020年福建省金牌旅游村」名单；2020年12月被确定为「福建省第一批高级版绿盈乡村」；2022年8月由农业农村部推介为「2022年中国美丽休闲乡村」；2022年11月确定为「第四批全国乡村旅游重点村」；2025年3月被认定为「福建省第一批省级乡村振兴示范村」。[1]
