月洲村位于永泰县西部，村中的桃花溪绕成一个大弯，水流形如“月”字，又分隔出一块沙洲，村名由此而来。[1]

村庄隶属嵩口镇，距嵩口镇区约10.5千米；面积11.21平方千米，包括4个自然村，户籍人口1445人。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

据百度百科，村庄建村已逾千年，宋至清代出过四十八名进士；南宋词人张元幹的故里即在此村，现存有其故居。[2]

1984年改为嵩口镇月洲村民委员会；1961年为嵩口人民公社月洲生产大队，1958年属嵩口公社管理区。1955年称嵩口区月洲乡，1950年至1952年为三区月洲乡。清代属中和乡感应里二十九都。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

村中的宁远庄是清乾隆年间张谦历时五年修建的寨堡式建筑，占地3110平方米。外墙以花岗岩砌基，夯土墙上开有观察窗，内墙另设隐通廊。[1]

文化[edit]

月洲村属于全国第三批传统村落之列。它先后获得多项荣誉：2019年12月入选「第一批国家森林乡村」名单；2020年8月入选「第二批全国乡村旅游重点村」名单；2020年11月获「第六届全国文明村镇」称号；2020年12月被确定为「福建省第一批高级版绿盈乡村」；2021年11月，月洲村经福建省爱卫办确定，获「2021年福建省卫生村」称号；2023年11月被认定为「第三批全国乡村治理示范村」；2025年11月获评「福建省第二批省级乡村振兴示范村」。[1]
